Collaborative Projects

Canadians are partners in IMRIC’s innovative research. In laboratories across the country, Canadian scientists are working with their Israeli counterparts to bring to life the biomedical breakthroughs that will benefit the world.

Breast Cancer Research

The IMRIC collaboration between McGill University and Hebrew University brings together two top scientists who have each made their mark in the world of cancer research. Their partnership will bring us closer to understanding how tumors, like organs, develop "stem cells" that circulate and implant themselves in other parts of the body.

Diabetes Research

This IMRIC collaboration partners Hebrew University's Yuval Dor with the University of Alberta's James Shapiro, Director of the Clinical Islet Transplant Program.

Epigenetics Research

This IMRIC collaboration reunites Dr. Szyf with his teacher, Prof. Howard Cedar, as they continue their pioneering work in epigenetics and cancer.
